Venezuela’s Acting President led an economic and productive sector meeting in Bolívar state this Tuesday to bolster economic resilience and improve citizen income despite over 1,000 active coercive measures.
Venezuelan Acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, spearheaded a crucial gathering of the productive and business sectors on May 19, held within the framework of the second phase of the National Pilgrimage, focused strategically on identifying and leveraging internal strengths.
The significant gathering took place in Ciudad Bolívar, a location historically recognized as the birthplace of Bolivarian project. From this symbolically potent ground, Delcy Rodríguez powerfully highlighted Venezuela’s inherent “power of resistance.”

Rodríguez actively joined the activation of the national plan designed to propel the economy forward amidst external aggressions. This critical initiative seeks to consolidate the country’s economic independence and sovereignty in the face of the extensive coercive measures unilaterally imposed by the United States.
The comprehensive plan is slated to traverse the entire national territory, with a clear mandate to strengthen domestic production and fully develop Venezuela’s inherent internal capacities across various sectors.
During her intervention, Rodríguez made an unequivocal demand to the United States: “cease the blockade” and “no more sanctions” against Venezuela. She vehemently emphasized that these unilateral coercive measures exert an “undue control” over the nation’s affairs, thereby severely hindering its productive development and stunting its potential for growth.
Unifying Against Sanctions
The high-level meeting was intricately aligned with the strategic guidelines articulated within the framework of the 7 Transformations of the Homeland Plan. Its central purpose was to meticulously evaluate the progress made in production plans, coordinate new strategic alliances across various sectors, and vigorously advance the Bolivarian Economic Agenda.
This comprehensive approach is being implemented from one of the regions possessing the greatest potential in mining, industry and agriculture, signifying a targeted effort to unlock and harness Bolívar’s significant resources for national development.
Rodríguez underscored that while some advancements have been achieved through diplomatic dialogue, Venezuela maintains its unwavering firmness in the resolute defense of its economic sovereignty. The Acting President reiterated the Bolivarian Government’s unyielding position against external pressures, emphasizing its unbreakable resolve in protecting the nation’s strategic assets and vital resources.
Rodríguez urgently called for national unity to collectively defend the homeland and the fundamental right to peace. In this sense, she affirmed that not “a single sanction” should remain imposed on the nation, highlighting the paramount importance of the total elimination of these U.S. policies.
She further asserted that the significant advancements already achieved through diplomatic dialogue unequivocally reaffirm the Bolivarian Government’s profound commitment to the unwavering defense of its economic sovereignty.
Moreover, Delcy Rodríguez held productive meetings with members of various communes, where she notably recognized and appreciated their tangible results in the crucial area of food production.
