Padrino López pointed out that this strategy seeks to create chaos and well-being in the Venezuelan nationals.

The Venezuelan Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, warned that a coup against the South American nation is still underway in the context of the post-presidential elections, where Nicolás Maduro Moros won.

«This is a coup d’état that has no end, but is in full development, and we see how the coup d’état is becoming internationalized», stressed Padrino López through a presentation at the Military Academy in Caracas (capital).

Following this line, the senior Venezuelan official indicated that the campaign against Venezuela has been internationalized, adding that they have clear “the attitude of the governments of several countries in Latin America, the European Union, the United States and Canada».

«Venezuela as a nation and the Armed Forces as an institution, we are the permanent target of US imperialism to fragment the Venezuelan state and fractured the national spirit, its institutions, its democracy», he said.

He also said that “the way (of Venezuela) is clear and it is to preserve peace, defeat fascism and political violence and impose us with the strength of liberators and Venezuela continues on its path of sovereignty and independence”.

The president, Nicolás Maduro, has repeatedly denounced the actions of interference and disturbance against Venezuelan citizens.

In August, the president denounced that the country is facing “a cyber-fascist coup that seeks to divide the Bolivarian National Armed Forces”.

The Venezuelan context has been sharpened because the extreme right, backed by the United States, refuses to recognize the victory of Maduro Moros.

The Venezuelan electoral authority (CNE) reported early on July 29 that Maduro had won with 51.95 percent of the vote, and that the extreme right-wing candidate Edmundo González had achieved 43.18 percent of the vote.

In response, the opposition led by González Urrutia declared him president-elect and ignored the results of President Maduro.
