Venezuelan Goverment Expresses its Deepest Condolences for the Death Caused by the Typhoon Yagi in Vietnam

The Venezuelan government expressed on Wednesday its “deepest condolences” for the death of 179 people that the authorities in Vietnam have counted after the passage of typhoon Yagi over the weekend, while 145 are reported missing.

Through a statement, the Bolivarian Chancellery also lamented the loss of “valuable infrastructure” as well as landslides due to “devastating floods that have hit the provinces of the north-east of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, including Cao Bang Yen Bai and Lao Cai”.
“The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela wishes to convey its words of support to the families and friends of the victims in this unfortunate event,” he added.
He also expressed his “deep admiration” for the “courage and heroism” of the rescue teams and all those who are working “tirelessly” to help the people affected.
The authorities of Vietnam raised on Wednesday to 179 dead and 145 missing due to typhoon Yagi, while Hanoi is in alert for the risk of increased flooding by the flood of two rivers that cross the capital.
