Venezuelan Government Held Talks With International Observers Invited to the Second National Popular Consultation

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, held a meeting on Saturday with international observers invited to the second National Popular Consultation to be held this Sunday.

The meeting was held at the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre in Caracas, home of Venezuelan diplomacy, where they discussed how people will exercise their democracy by choosing priority projects for their communities, which will receive funding from the Bolivarian Government.
The chancellor said that international verification will allow certifying to the world that the Venezuelan electoral power is democratic, safe, reliable and, consequently, transparent.
“The observers will see the truth and crowd it… What are they going to see? , you will see a people trying to build their destiny, in the framework of a revolutionary process that is not allowed to be defeated. They will also see a happy people… in peace,” Gil said.
The chancellor recalls that the Venezuelan people who are on the “street trying to rebuild the aftermath of the blockade and the aggressions,” arranged from the White House.
In total, 24,000 projects out of 103,000 proposed by the communal councils were nominated throughout the country for this national election, which seeks to address problems of the drinking water system, road, housing, electricity, health, education, waste water, production units, environment, public transport, sports facilities and gas.
Gil also took advantage of the meeting to once again denounce to the international community “the cyber-fascist and criminal coup d’état that Venezuela is facing, orchestrated by the right wing and the United States. An attack that we will defeat by exercising more popular democracy.”
