Venezuelan president elect Nicolás Maduro has declared that he will take office next January 10 for the 2025-2031 term.

The National Electoral Council (CNE) declared his official victory in the elections of last July against the opposition Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia.
Meanwhile, the Venezuelan people support their President who this Monday during the commemorative act of the Bicentenary of the Battle of Ayacucho, from the Paseo Monumental Los Proceres, in Caracas (capital), urged Venezuelans to swear that the homeland will continue its free, independent, peaceful, sovereign and united people’s course.
“More than celebrating, as is being done throughout the Americas, we have to swear commitment, swear from our hearts, that we will be like Sucre, we will be like Ayacucho and this homeland will continue its course as a free, independent, peaceful, sovereign homeland of a united people”, he said.
