Nicolás Maduro, President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, praised the fervent mobilization of Bolivarian and Chavista supporters during the presentation of candidates for governorships by the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP) ahead of the May 25, 2025 elections.

At a vibrant and passionate event, President Maduro invoked the legacy of Venezuelan folk singer Alí Primera, stating his music inspires the nation’s revolutionary path. “With Alí, we say: Let the fire burn! His songs sustain and drive us on this revolutionary journey,” declared the president.

Seven candidates were introduced, including Víctor Clark, Luis Reyes Reyes, Elio Serrano, Primitivo Cedeño, Alejandro Terán, Gerardo Márquez, and Arnaldo Sánchez. Maduro hailed them as the “cavalry of the Simón Bolívar GPP” and pledged full support: “I extend my hand so we may together realize the dream: a prosperous, independent, and sovereign Venezuela. I count on you, brothers and sisters!”

Rallies in Falcón, Lara, Miranda, Portuguesa, La Guaira, Trujillo, and Mérida showcased unity between the people and regional leaders, blending revolutionary music, traditional dances, and chants backing each candidate. The festive atmosphere underscored the Venezuelan people’s protagonism in the electoral process.

In a recent development, San Felipe municipality in Yaracuy state joined the mobilization, with the GPP presenting revolutionary candidate Leonardo Intoci for governor. Intoci emphasized youth participation in national elections, pledging commitment to Venezuela’s future ahead of the May 25, 2025 vote.
