“On that day, let’s go out into the streets to swear for Venezuela, to swear for independence, and to swear for the Bolivarian homeland,” he said during an event broadcast by VTV.
“I promise to unite, in a single fist, all the historic strength of General Ezequiel Zamora, the Liberator Simon Bolivar, and Commander Hugo Chavez to carry out great transformations and changes,” Maduro added.
“We must be prepared to defeat any intrigue, any plot, and any conspiracy coming from imperialism, the oligarchy, and fascism,” the Bolivarian leader stressed.
“Miraflores Palace will never fall into the hands of a puppet of the oligarchy or imperialism,” Maduro stated, referring to the seat of Executive branch, which is “the house of the people for now and forever.”
Once the July 28 electoral process concluded, the National Electoral Council proclamed Nicolas Maduro as the winner of the 2024 presidential elections.
On January 10, 2025, the Bolivian leader will go to the National Assembly to take the oath of office. Meanwhile, social and popular organizations are promoting citizen participation in that ceremony through posters and graffiti with phrases such as “I swear with Maduro for the future,”
