He claims that the right-wing chose to incite violence and provoke a civil war after warning that they would not win at the polls.

He pointed out that the outbreaks of violence promoted by the extreme right between Monday and Tuesday did not have as protagonists peaceful citizens, students or trade unions, and that most of the people who have been arrested admitted they didn’t go to vote. He stressed that the extreme right did not succeed in mobilizing workers or good people, but rather young men whose minds it poisoned.
He recalled that they had burned official facilities, government buildings, educational institutions, health centres and monuments, among others, for the payment of sums of money. He said more than 80 officers have been injured during the attacks of these criminals.
He questioned why the extreme right registered for elections and put up election witnesses if since before the electoral process, on 1 January last, he had already announced that he would sing fraud. He stated that, after realizing they would not win, they chose to promote violence with the intention of starting a civil war.
He stressed that President Nicolás Maduro acted with adherence to the Constitution and appealed to the TSJ’s Electoral Chamber, which has already appointed a prominent prosecutor to accompany the ongoing investigation.
He explained that several presidential candidates or their proxies have appeared before the TSJ’s Electoral Chamber to take part in this investigation.
He urged the far right to submit unfalsified records from an outside system. He denounced that the CNE not only wanted to slow down the electoral transmission, but also to cause a complete blackout in order to supplant the National Electoral Council (CNE). Here there is only one CNE mandated by the Constitution, and it is not a private organization financed from abroad, said William Saab. He recalled that in 2023, the sector held a fraudulent primary event.
Extreme right applies unconventional war
For his part, the General Attorney said that the violent acts denounced by the MP are one of the facets of the hybrid war perpetrated against Venezuela and are encouraged from factors of transnational power.
He reported that a significant number of attacks were articulated through social networks. He said that in Venezuela the right is testing unconventional war methods that were used against other nations not only to make people angry, but also capable of killing.
He explained that the right wing has been increasing the use of these formulas since the commander Hugo Chávez came to power and re-emphasized their use after his death.
In this regard, he recalled that years ago an experiment was carried out with the social network Facebook to know the impact of messages to which 700,000 users would be exposed.
He considered that a colossal psychological operation has been carried out against Venezuela and the owners of these social networks have joined in to promote a climate of hatred.
When asked by a foreign correspondent, William Saab accused the OAS secretary general, Luis Almagro, of being a puppet of the USA. and the regional right, and has no moral authority to question the institutionality in Venezuela.
He said that justice would one day be served for having been the material and intellectual author of the destabilization against several governments in the region, as happened during the November 2019 coup in Bolivia.
He explained that the Venezuelan state signed a cooperation agreement with the International Criminal Court (ICC) and this is moving forward to allow technical cooperation.
He reported that the opposition leader Freddy Superlano is in custody, in good health and is cooperating with prosecutors. He also admitted responsibility for some of the matters concerning the acts of violence reported at the hearing. He said that he is providing very interesting data about this whole situation and the attack on the CNE’s data update system, details that will gradually be revealed.
