The Venezuelan chancellor, Yvan Gil, denounced that this Saturday there was an attack with incendiary bombs at the country’s Consulate General in Lisbon, Portugal, highlighting that the fact “affects the services provided to our compatriots.”

Gil also noted that these irrational aggressions by the deranged groups “will not succeed in counteracting the progress of the Bolivarian Revolution” and expressed his appreciation for the prompt intervention of the authorities of Portugal who prevented further harm.
Venezuela’s FM said he hopes from Portuguese authorities, which have already initiated the investigations, could facilitate the identification of the culprits and the determination of responsibilities.
These events are being carried out by groups of the extreme right in Venezuela, one day after the swearing-in of the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, probably in conjunction with the interventionist attacks against the nation were initiated from the moment of swearing-in, an example of this is the recent list of officials sanctioned by the Office for Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
For its part, the Foreign Ministry of Portugal, headed by Paulo Rangel, published a message on X to condemn the aggression that occurred on Saturday night at the diplomatic headquarters of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the Portuguese country.
“The Portuguese Government strongly condemns the attack on the Venezuelan consulate in Lisbon. He ordered an immediate reinforcement of security and a proper police investigation. It is an intolerable act. The inviolability of diplomatic missions must be respected in all cases,” the officials said.
In addition, it was reported that during the inauguration of President Nicolás Maduro on Friday, there was an attack against the residence of the Venezuelan mission in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, to which members of social movements responded with a patriotic call in support of the Bolivarian revolution.
