The Venezuelan General Attorney quoted the foremer far righter presidential candidate Edmundo Gonzales Urrutia to to testify before a court by his alleged responsibility for the offences of: usurpation of functions, forcible entry into public documents, instigation to disobedience of laws, computer crimes, association for criminal purposes and conspiracy.

“Please appear before the Public Prosecutor’s Office, located at La Av. Este Seis. Corners of Victoria Bridge, A No Pastor, Centro Villamil Building, 15th Floor. Carabobo Park, La Candelaria Parish. Caracas. Capital District, on the 26th of August 2024, at 10:00 am,” reads the citation quot.

Urrutia will also be held responsible for the publication of falsified official documents through the website www.resultadosconvenezuela.com, which has been used by the ultra-right to incite hatred and cause confusion among the Venezuelan population.

The former candidate also committed a flagrant disregard and disrespect for the Supreme Court of Justice, by not responding to calls made by the electoral chamber when the Supreme Court filed an appeal in electoral disputes requested by the re-elected president Nicolas Maduro.

The principle of the criminal investigation was requested by the Supreme Court to the General Attorney Tarek William Saab after Gonzales Urrutia did not attended to a citation to declare before the judges of the Electoral Chamber.
