The 2025 National Popular Consultation, promoted by the Bolivarian Government, has seen massive participation across Venezuela, exceeding expectations and marking a milestone compared to previous processes.
Natali Lezama, a member of the National Communal Electoral Commission, highlighted that states such as Zulia, Mérida, Capital District, Anzoátegui, Falcón, and Barinas have led the influx of citizens to voting centers.
Lezama emphasized that this first consultation has demonstrated an unprecedented commitment from the Venezuelan people, reflecting the strengthening of participatory and protagonistic democracy in the country. “This consultation has broken participation records, showing that the Venezuelan people are determined to be protagonists of their future,” she stated.

Additionally, it was mentioned that the communal projects prioritized in this consultation are linked to the 7 Transformations, focused on key areas such as production, health, and sports. These projects aim to improve the quality of life in communities and strengthen local development.
The commission explained the methods implemented by the Bolivarian Government to ensure that the projects prioritized in the consultation are executed efficiently.
“The Government has established transparent and participatory mechanisms to ensure that the needs of the people are met,” said Yuvirí Zambrano, another member of the commission.
President Nicolás Maduro has been acknowledged for promoting this initiative, which allows citizens to decide on policies and projects that will directly impact their communities. “Thanks to President Maduro for giving the people the opportunity to participate and choose,” expressed Lezama.
