Venezuelan Executive Vicepresident Delcy Rodriguez installed this Thursday the National Congress of the Bolivarian Historical Bloc, where she hightlighted the Venezuelan people’s capacity to get through historical adversities and face the new forms of neocolonialism and financial capital.
In her speech, Rodriguez pointed that more tan 3.5 millions of citizens participated on the congress previous debates, wich represents a milestone in the process of re-founding the country.
Rodríguez emphasized that the approximately 500,000 proposals arising from more than 100,000 assemblies are fundamental to defining the future of Venezuela through a concrete agenda based on the Seven Transformations (7T).
The first transformation focuses on the economy and overcoming the US and European blockade, which he considers a serious violation of human rights. The vice president highlighted progress towards an economic model that has moved beyond oil dependency, implementing 18 productive engines designed by President Nicolás Maduro.
This change seeks to transform production and communication relations in the country, emphasizing the central role of workers as drivers of national development. He also mentioned other key transformations: building sustainable habitats, promoting peace and security, and healing the wounds left by economic warfare.
Politics plays a crucial role as well, moving towards a communal state that prioritizes citizen participation and fights corruption. Rodríguez emphasized the need for ecological transformation that respects nature and addresses current climate crises.
