At least eleven Palestinians were killed and several others wounded, including children, in two Israeli airstrikes on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to local sources and Qatari channel Al Jazeera.

The attacks, carried out by Israeli drones, targeted areas near the Abdulah Azam mosque, where six civilians were reported killed. Additionally, five more Palestinians died in an attack on a food bank operated by a charity foundation in the same area.

Since Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu broke the ceasefire on March 18, airstrikes against the Gaza Strip have become routine. Since then, more than 800 Palestinians have been killed, most of them women and children, with over 1,700 wounded.

In the last 24 hours alone, bombings have killed at least 38 people and wounded around 124, according to the daily count from Gaza’s Hamas-run Health Ministry.

The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to deteriorate, with a cumulative total of more than 50,183 dead and over 113,800 wounded in more than 17 months of conflict. Additionally, thousands remain missing, many buried under the rubble of buildings destroyed in the attacks.

This new chapter of violence highlights the urgent need for a peaceful solution to the conflict, as the international community watches with growing concern at the humanitarian crisis facing Gaza’s population.
