West Bank: Massive Israeli incursion leaves at least 9 dead

Israeli troops invaded several areas of the occupied West Bank in a large-scale operation that included air support. Palestinian resistance movements denounce criminal occupation behaviour in the places attacked.

At least nine Palestinians were killed and 11 others wounded on Wednesday during ground and airborne operations by the Israeli special forces in three different locations north of the occupied Palestinian territory of the West Bank, That adds up to more than 310 Palestinians killed in 2024 in the region.
According to the Red Crescent emergency service, four Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on Wednesday morning at the Fara refugee camp, in Tubas, two more in Jenin and three others when an Israeli drone attacked a vehicle in the nearby town of Seir.
Military sources confirmed that the Hebrew Armed Forces launched a large-scale operation in the West Bank this morning, which included central areas such as Nablus and Tulkarem, in addition to Yenin and Tubas; with support from drones and gunships.
The Yenin and Tulkarem brigades, the two hottest hotbeds of armed Palestinian resistance in the West Bank, reported around midnight clashes and crossfire against Israeli troops, which burst with snipers, infantry, military vehicles and bulldozers to destroy infrastructure.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad, whose armed wing are the Al Quds brigades, denounced that the siege and exchange of fire continues, and in cities like Tulkarem, in whose refugee camp, Nur Shams, the army killed five Palestinians yesterday in a drone attack, could spread for days.
Since the attack on Israeli territory by the Islamic movement Hamas on 7 October, the Zionist army has intensified its frequent incursions into the West Bank which have cost the lives of some 650 Palestinians in violent incidents with troops and a dozen settlers, including at least 147 minors.
