World Congress of Anti-Fascist Youth Concludes in Venezuela

Over 1,000 young people gathered to discuss ways to promote youth unity against the scourge of far-right extremism globally.
On Saturday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro closed the World Congress of Anti-Fascist Youth and Students, held in Caracas.

Over two days, more than 1,000 young people from 72 countries gathered in the Venezuelan capital to discuss ways to promote youth unity against the scourge of far-right extremism globally.
Maduro urged those attending the congress to sow ideas to preserve peace, sovereignty, and the independence of nations. He also approved the proposal to hold the Grand World Anti-Fascist Festival in Venezuela on January 8, 2025.
“Let leaders, youth, workers, and farmers from around the world come to join the Venezuelan people at my inauguration on January 10!” the Bolivarian leader declared, emphasizing that peace will prevail in Venezuela.
“They have not and will not defeat us,” Maduro said, referring to the arbitrary sanctions imposed by the United States and its allies against the Venezuelan people for over a decade.
He also reminded attendees that those actors attempted a “cyber-fascist coup” during the presidential elections held in July, using cognitive warfare and artificial intelligence strategies to delegitimize the will of the Venezuelan people.
During the closing of the World Congress of Anti-Fascist Youth and Students, the Bolivarian leader highlighted the global youth’s fervor for Venezuela’s struggle.
“You, being so young, can feel so much admiration, love, and support for the revolutionary and anti-imperialist struggle of the Venezuelan people, which is admired worldwide,” Maduro stated, emphasizing the importance of international unity in the fight against imperialism and fascism.
“The peoples of the world who stand with us in this battle touch both our minds and hearts. Once again, they renew our energy and show us that we are on the right side of history—on the side of peace and life.”
