The military spokesman of the Houthis, Yahya Sarea, said in a statement that the first operation targeted the American-flagged vessel Maersk Sentosa, which was attacked in the Arabian Sea “with several ballistic and winged missiles” that caused a “direct and precise impact”, although no damage was specified.
The second operation involved the launching of several drones against the merchant ship Marathopolis, which sailed under the flag of Malta in the Arabian Sea, and which suffered a “certain impact”, but did not detail any damage to the ship.
The Houthis launched several drones at the Liberian-flagged MSC Patnaree as it passed through the Gulf of Aden in an operation that “successfully achieved its objective”, without specifying whether the drones damaged its target in any way.
The Houthi military spokesman reiterated that Yemeni rebel operations “will not cease unless the aggression is ended and the siege imposed on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is lifted”.
It should be noted that all actions were carried out with the collaboration of the Islamic resistance in Iraq.
