The spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sari, confirmed the action. The missile, named Palestine-2, overcame the defenses of the Zionist entity and forced the closure of the international airport Ben Gurion. All take-offs and landings stopped.

On the other hand, it forced thousands of people to hide in air-raid shelters. Images spread through the Lebanese media Al Manar showed settlers running towards these places. According to press reports, loud explosions were heard in Tel Aviv.

At the same time, Houthi rebels launched a drone into a target in the city of Ashkelon. They also claimed an attack on three US warships in the Red Sea, which were aimed at supporting the Zionist entity.

The Ansarolah movement specified that in this last action it used 23 ballistic missiles and drones, achieving a «direct impact» on the three boats. Simultaneously, they attacked the port of Eilat in southern occupied Palestine.

Through a statement, the Houthi rebels emphasized that their operations are «in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people as well as in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance», and in rejection of the US and British aggression against Yemen.

They warned that «new operations will be carried out until the Israeli aggression against Palestine and Lebanon is stopped». The Houthis launched a ballistic missile on 15 September last against a military target in Tel Aviv.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi Islamic resistance reported that during the last 24 hours it launched drones against Israeli targets in the occupied Syrian Golan and attacked with an al-Arqab missile a strategic target in occupied Palestine.
