Police Roughes Up Demonstrators in Seattle on Workers' Day
Police in Seattle, Washington clashed with protesters at this year's May Day rally and arrested at least nine people, while police claimed that five officers were injured as demonstrators reacted with outrage by launching firecrackers, molotovs and rocks at anti-riot police.
More than 90 countries across the globe are holding mass rallies and activities this Sunday, May 1, to commemorate International Workers' Day, a celebration of workers' rights achieved and a demand for fair working conditions and wages today—and around the world, from Seattle to Istanbul, police cracked down on those who took part.Pictures
