US: Stunning Photos Show Extreme Drought Around Lake Powell, Arizona
In Arizona, Lake Powell’s capacity is down to around 42 percent due to extreme drought in the western United States. The lake on the Colorado River provides water for Nevada, Arizona and California. The regional drought has produced conditions incomparable to anything else in the last 1,200 years. The drought has exposed the ongoing environmental issues facing the state and the region's timeless struggle to secure and manage water. Photos taken in May, 2015
