Democratically elected president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, spoke on Saturday, commemorating the victory of the Bolivarian Revolution against the coup d'etat attempt and efforts of international intervention orchestrated by right-wing opposition on Feb. 23, 2019.

Venezuela is facing "the strongest imperialist aggressions that the Republic has ever survived in 200 years," stated Maduro to the Chavista people attending the Mobilization for Peace outside of the Miraflores Palace (government seat) in the capital city of Caracas.
During the anti-terrorism demonstration, Maduro stressed that "the coup d'état of Donald Trump and his puppets and clowns who tried to assault power" had failed.
"We are in a battle; nobody here lowers their guard. We can be victorious, happy, united, but with our eyes wide open," he exhorted before the multitude that crowded the Urdaneta Avenue, in the Venezuelan capital.
The Chavista people continue to be "the greatest guarantee of peace, democracy and sovereignty of the Fatherland" against the attacks perpetrated by the Venezuelan right-wing and the U.S., the president said.
Efforts made by the Venezuelan armed forces, working in junction with the public "has allowed (Venezuela) to continue marching on the path of peace," Maduro said.
The president denounced the recent act of terrorism, currently being dismantled by state security forces, which attempted to lure Colombian and Central American mercenaries into conducting violent actions in different regions of the country. "The fascist right-wing upon the failure of their plans, now wants violence (...) the empire is crazy and calculates wrongly because of its excessive ambition," he warned.
Maduro also called on international media to report with professionalism and for the benefit of all Venezuelans. "Journalists of the world please tell the truth, because the Venezuelan people have the right to peace, calm and independence," he stated.
In this regard, the president assured that justice will prevail and be practiced against the terrorism. The new plans of this terrorist cell were reported on Saturday by the Minister of Communication and Information Jorge Rodriguez. "We are going to capture them and hand them over to Justice," President Maduro assured.
