Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei denounced today, March 20, Israeli false flag operations in the region, labeling them a “stratagem” to sow division between the Persian nation and its neighbors, while warning of media campaigns.

Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, publicly condemned on Friday, what he described as Israeli false flag operations occurring within the region. He characterized these actions as a deliberate “stratagem” designed to create discord and division between the Islamic Republic of Iran and its surrounding neighboring countries.

This denunciation was communicated through his official social media channels, bringing the allegations to an international audience.

“The attacks against some locations in Türkiye and Oman are a ploy that the Zionist enemy uses to sow division between the Islamic Republic of Iran and its neighbors, and it is possible that this may also occur in other countries”, the Iranian leader asserted. This statement directly implicates Israel in specific regional incidents, aiming to expose what Tehran views as a concerted effort to destabilize alliances and foster distrust.

The Ayatollah further emphasized that these attacks have not been carried out by Iranian forces nor by the Resistance Movement. He warned that a significant component of the enemy’s strategies involves a “media operation”, specifically targeting the “psyche” of individuals.

The primary objective of such campaigns, according to Khamenei, is to divide “national unity” and to adversely affect “security” within the region. This dual approach of covert military actions and psychological warfare highlights the multifaceted nature of the alleged threats facing Iran.

In his address, the Supreme Leader extended his condolences to “the families and loved ones of the martyrs of the 12-Day Imposed War, the January coup d’état, and this latest imposed war, as well as the martyrs of security and border guard forces.” This poignant tribute serves to connect current alleged aggressions with previous periods of conflict, reinforcing a narrative of sustained external pressure against Iran.

“In the past year, our people experienced three military and security wars. The first was last June, when the Zionist enemy, with the direct assistance of the U.S. and in the midst of negotiations, inflicted martyrdom upon nearly one thousand of our compatriots”, Khamenei added about the recent history of conflict. This accusation points to a direct collaboration between Israel and the United States in perpetrating fatal attacks during a period that should have been marked by diplomatic engagement.

“The second war was the January coup d’état. The U.S. and the Zionist regime, believing that the imposed economic problems would lead the Iranian people to implement the enemy’s plan, perpetrated countless atrocities using their mercenaries”, he referred.

The Supreme Leader highlighted the unwavering efforts of the Iranian people and the armed forces in defending Persian sovereignty, underscoring their inherent strength and unity, presenting this collective resilience as a testament to victory against the relentless aggressions perpetrated by the United States and the Israeli regime.

These aggressions by the United States and Israel intensified significantly during the early morning hours of February 28, when they launched joint attacks against Iran. Since that date, these attacks have resulted in the deaths of more than 1,300 Iranians, a toll that includes 171 young girls.

Among the high-profile casualties were Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military officials, including Ali Larijani, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council; Gholamreza Soleimani, the Commander of the Basij militia; and Esmaeil Khatib, the Iranian Minister of Intelligence.

The continuous aggression has also led to the destruction or severe damage of thousands of civilian infrastructures, including residential homes, medical centers, and schools across the entire Iranian territory. These deliberate acts of targeting civilian infrastructure and personnel constitute aggravated war crimes, as explicitly defined under the statutes enshrined in international law and the Geneva Conventions, underscoring the severity and illegality of the ongoing offensive.
