Biden to Announce Presidential Bid, Fox News Reports

United States Vice President Joe Biden will throw his hat into the ring to become the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, according to Fox News, whose senior White House correspondent cited sources close to Biden.

Fox quotes its correspondent Ed Henry, as well as Representative Brendan Boyle, who have both tweeted Monday that President Barack Obama’s number two will run.

At the time of writing, Henry had most recently tweeted that three sources were confirming Biden’s bid for the White House, but the correspondent added that the vice president is “not rushing,” hinting the announcement may come on Saturday at the annual Democratic Party fundraising dinner in Iowa.

NBC’s Kristen Welker tweeted that Harold Schaitberger, president of the International Association of Firefighters, was left with the impression from the vice president that was going to run for the White House.

If Biden enters the race, it is thought front-runner Hillary Clinton’s support will be split.

Mediate reports that Biden allegedly told friends that running for president was the dying wish of his son Beau Biden. The rumor mill began in August that he would run.

The other presidential contenders held a debate last week, which Bernie Sanders was said to have won. Biden has been criticized for his policy toward Latin America in the past.
