Mexican star forward Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez has done it again. Fans voted him the best player of the week in the Bundesliga for Matchday 28, according to the German league's website.
Fans cast their ballot online to choose their favorite player of the week, and in this case over 75 percent voted in favor of Chicharito for his performance in the match between his Bayer Leverkusen team and Wolfsburg.
Hernandez was sent into the pitch after having sat on the bench to score once and later provide a pass to enable Vladlen Yurchencko to score his first goal in the Bundesliga and to seal the game 3-0, lifting Leverkusen to fourth place.
Chicharito was also named the Bundesliga's best player in Week 16 due to his hat trick.

The Mexican striker, who has scored 15 goals in Bundesliga play and 22 in all competitions, including Champions League play, has been mentioned various times by different teams in the U.K., including Liverpool and Chelsea, but Michael Schade, general director at Bayer Leverkusen has no plans to get rid of Hernandez unless, however, they offer a huge amount for him.
"Right now we don't want to sell any of our players, we want to keep the team united and improve it, but we are a business, a commercial entity and if exorbitant offers come in, we'll examine them and see if they benefit us,” Schade said in February.
