Zaid Mohsen was honored by Ronaldo as they both walked Real Madrid’s football pitch in the game against Granada.

Real Madrid's star striker Cristiano Ronaldo made the dream come of a seven-year old Syrian boy this Sunday who along with his father was tripped up by a Hungarian camerawoman while being pursued by police.

The Merengue forward invited Zaid Mohsen, his older brother Mohammad, 18, and his father Osama Abdul to the Real Madrid game against Granada.

Ronaldo gave Zaid the honor to walk the football pitch next to him, and at one point the boy apparently felt so excited, according to RT, that he tried to perform Ronaldo's widely-known celebration move.

“Little Zaid got to know his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, with whom he was photographed on the pitch,” the Real Madrid Football Club said in a statement.

“The father of the Syrian family, who was tripped by a Hungarian journalist, and his sons met (coach) Rafael Benitez, the technical staff and the squad minutes before the final training session ahead of the game against Granada,” the team added.

Earlier in the week, the club's president, Florentino Perez, gave Zaid and his family a tour of Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu home stadium.

“It’s a dream come true. I love Real Madrid, it’s my favorite team and that of all my family,” the father said. “I’m very thankful for the president’s welcome. In Syria we dreamed of seeing a Real Madrid game and now it will come true.”

Osama Abdul Mohsen was recently offered a job as a football coach in Spain as it turned out that he used to be one in Syria's first division.

Spanish football school Cenafe contacted Mohsen and offered him a job, accommodation and other things the family might need. They also said they would help Mohsen with his asylum application, and noted that the Syrian soccer coach needs to learn Spanish before starting his new job.

The school has reportedly said that along with other local social authorities it was working to bring the rest of Mohsen’s family to Spain. His wife and two other children are in Turkey.

Mohsen's family's struggle was ironically made famous when they were tripped by the Hungarian camerawoman Petra Laszlo as they fled a refugee camp at the Serbia-Hungary border.

Zaid was so distressed by the incident that he cried for two hours after the fall. He was left with bruises and was sick from shock, according to his family.

The camerawoman was fired after the footage of her tripping over and kicking refugees leaked in social media networks. She later apologized, saying that she “panicked” and was trying to “protect herself.” She also kicked a little girl, after which the Hungarian channel N1TV she was working for fired her.

Osama Abdul traveled from Munich to Spain by train on Wednesday with his son Zaid, whom he was holding when he was tripped, and his other son who was also in Germany.

"The future will be very good for my son in Spain," Mohsen told the Spanish press upon his arrival in the country.

Spain has agreed to take in about 17,000 refugees this year under a general European Commission plan.
