The team suffered a scare as “Chicharito” was forced off in the second half after visibly limping. He left the field in the 68th minute of Leverkusen's clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.

However the team spirits remained firm as Leverkusen went on to score three goals from the 70th minute on, moving up to third in the Bundesliga.

The team did not offer any update to Chicharito’s condition after the game, saying only that it would provide more information as it became available.

Leverkusen’s leading scorer in the Bundesliga this season, Chicharito has scored 16 times in league play.
